Jaideep Das
Jaideep works in the field of Information Technology and takes passion in supporting the spread of education in India and neighboring countries. In 2014, in collaboration with many like minded individuals, he founded Dishari Foundation. He is also the founder of Book Maniac, an online and event-based book retail store focusing on writings from India and South Asia. Jaideep is active project coordinator for AID East Bay Chapter supporting tribal and rural education in India.

Mantra Roy Asthana
Mantra is an academic librarian at San José State University. After earning her PhD in American Literature and a brief college teaching career in Florida, she came to the world of libraries. She gained critical experience at the Global Libraries program at The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the University of Rochester, NY, before coming to the Bay Area. Facilitating access to information and research resources motivates her to work with community organizations.

Tasfia Hassan
Tasfia holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Dhaka and has a deep
passion for storytelling and the arts. She began her career as a feature writer, eventually
exploring creative writing and specializing in marketing copy.
In addition to her work as a marketer and volunteer for Dishari Foundation, Tasfia is an avid
Bengali literature and music enthusiast and a trained Indian classical vocalist. Her interests in
literature and music inspire her to foster a love for reading and creativity within the community.

Today Dishari Foundation also runs a free Bengali Public Library in Silicon Valley dedicated to foster enviromental awareness, rational ideas, secular and progessive values, inclusiveness through the exploration of our roots. He is also the founder of Book Maniac, an online and event-based book retail store focusing on writings from India and South Asia. Jaideep is active project coordinator for AID East Bay Chapter supporting tribal and rural education in India.
